Little Miss Shamrock

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 1, 2008

EVENT – Sunday, November 9, 2008, 2-5 pm
A program will list the contestants and sponsors. A casual event overall, dress-up for the contestants. No make-up 10 and under except lip gloss if desired; 11-12 may wear mascara. Natural hairstyles are required for contestants. Girls will be presented before the judges in groups of 3-5 with an opportunity for each to make an introduction, and then for each to interact with the judges’ panel in a comfortable setting. There will be time to change clothes before their talent presentation.

A finalist selection with an additional question on stage may be required.

Titleholders will be announced and presented with a tiara and prize package.

Location: Irish Cultural Center, Phoenix

DUTIES

Titleholders will participate in and debut at the Arizona Colleen Pageant and Arizona Rose Selection and will ride in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. They are invited to participate in area events throughout their reign.

PRIZES

Titleholders will each receive a prize package and tickets to the Arizona Colleen Pageant and Arizona Rose Selection in Phoenix.

HISTORY

This event was added in January 2008 in celebration of the 25th Annual Arizona Colleen Pageant. It is now an ongoing program and has been moved to the month of November. For that reason, please note that the January 2008 Little Miss Shamrock titleholders will continue their reign to February 1, 2009. The November 2008 Little Miss Shamrocks will begin their one-year reign and debut at the 2009 Arizona Colleen/Arizona Rose Selection. Those area events during the overlapping months will include invitations to all four young ladies to participate. Thank you for your understanding.
