Joy Peck Grainger, Chair
City of Surprise Intergovernmental Relations Manager
B.A. Political Science, University of Colorado at Boulder
With over a decade of experience working in various government-related entities, from City Hall to the United States Capitol, Joy has garnered an enormous wealth of knowledge in international relations, public affairs, speaking, writing, and issue advocacy. She currently serves as a government liaison and grant advocate for the City of Surprise, where she also resides with her husband, Trevor, and their two daughters. Joy was honored to be the 2002 Washington D.C. Rose in the International Rose of Tralee in Ireland, where Trevor was chosen to serve as her official Rose Escort. The luck of the Irish put these two together as they were married in Joy’s native state of Colorado 10 months later and look forward to celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary this year. As an Irish-American family, they thoroughly enjoy participating in local Irish activities and returning to visit family in County Kildare annually.
