General information about the Arizona Colleen Selection.

This is the initial Step 1 by submitting the Application, photo, and $35 nonrefundable fee for the Arizona Colleen Selection. A printed booklet with the "Contestant Information" will be mailed to you AND you are on the Email List for important details.

All applicants to the Arizona Colleen Selection need to fill out the Extensive Questionnaire.

Select ONE of the three topics below. Use the format and instructions provided in the “Essay Sample.” If you have competed previously, you must select a different topic. Please note, your essay may be published and/or you may be asked to read your essay aloud at a program event.

1. Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.
2. Describe the world you come from—for example, your family, community or school—and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.
3. Describe a character in fiction, a historical figure, or a creative work (as in art, music, science, etc.) that has had an influence on you, and explain that influence.
